About us
Our Adventure started in 2023
The story of Alfresco began in March 2023, when the first restaurant was opened in Coron with a small but dedicated team of six staff members. From the very beginning, our goal was not simply to grow in size, but to grow alongside the communities we serve.
As Coron and Busuanga welcomed more visitors each year, Alfresco grew hand in hand with this rising flow of travelers. In March 2025, a sister company opened Alfresco Busuanga, a natural step shaped by the increasing demand and the opportunity to build this project locally.
By the end of 2025, Alfresco proudly counted 26 staff members across the two different enterprises. More than numbers, this represents our greatest achievement: creating meaningful employment and ensuring that the biggest part of our impact is felt in the local economy. Alfresco is not just a brand, it is a community effort, built with and for the people of Coron and Busuanga.
Our Commitment to Sustainability
At Alfresco, we proudly produce 90% of the energy we need on site through solar power, harnessing the Sun to fuel our restaurants. This clean energy reduces both emissions and dependence on polluting energy sources.
During 2025, Alfresco generated 37,675 kWh of self-produced solar energy. Based on average emission factors in the Philippines, this achievement prevented approximately 26 metric tons of CO₂ from entering the atmosphere. To put this into perspective, that’s the environmental equivalent of planting more than 400 trees.
By choosing solar, we ensure our operations contribute positively to the environment and the local economy, proving that hospitality and sustainability can thrive together.
Cut down on single-use plastics.
From the very beginning, Alfresco was built on sustainable choices. We never relied on single‑use plastics such as straws, disposable cutlery, or plastic containers, instead opting for practices that respect the environment and community.
Beyond daily operations, we also prioritize locally sourced materials for our restaurants from tables, chairs and ceilings to lamps and ornaments. By avoiding plastic‑made objects imported from abroad, we reduce pollution both at the point of production and during transportation, while supporting local craftsmanship and the economy of Coron and Busuanga.
